When should I book my newborn session?
I recommend booking during pregnancy, ideally sometime in your second or early third trimester. This gives us plenty of time to reserve a spot around your due date. Don't worry if your baby has already arrived, though — if I have availability, I'll always do my best to accommodate last-minute bookings.
What should I bring to my session?
Very little! I provide the wraps, props, accessories and styling for your baby's photographs. For parents and siblings, I recommend bringing a few simple clothing options if you'd like choices, along with anything your baby may need during the session such as diapers, a bottle or pacifier.
What does my newborn session include?
Your newborn session includes the use of my studio wardrobe of wraps, props, accessories and styling pieces, as well as photographs of your baby individually and with parents and siblings. I'll guide you throughout the session and work at a pace that allows plenty of time for feeding, soothing and settling.
What if my baby doesn't co-operate?
That's completely okay — newborns are in charge! Sessions are baby-led, with plenty of time for feeding, cuddling, soothing and breaks whenever needed. There is never any pressure to rush through a pose or make your baby do something they're not comfortable with.
How long do the sessions take?
Newborn sessions typically allow 2–4 hours, depending on your baby's needs. Some sessions move quickly, while others need more time for feeding and settling. I don't watch the clock — the goal is to create beautiful photographs without rushing you or your baby.
When should i book my maternity session?
Maternity sessions are generally best scheduled around 28–34 weeks, when your belly is beautifully visible but you're still feeling relatively comfortable. Every pregnancy is different, though, so we'll choose a timing that feels right for you.
When will we recieve our photographs?
Your images are individually selected and hand-edited by me, so I take the time needed to make sure your final gallery is something I'm proud to deliver. Your completed gallery will typically be ready within 2–3 weeks of your session.
